Carr Riggs & Ingram today acquired Williams Steinert Mask, entering the San Antonio market and expanding its presence in Texas.
The Top 25 Firm, based in Enterprise, Alabama, adds WSM's offices in San Antonio and Bulverde, Texas, along with three partners, Chris Williams, Tonya Steinert and Kirk Mask, and their staff. WSM providers tax, attest, outsourced accounting and consulting services to real estate, construction, nonprofits and other businesses and individuals.
"Williams Steinert Mask has built a strong legacy of client service in San Antonio, and we are excited to continue that journey together," CRI chairman Bill Chair said in a statement. "Expanding our presence in Texas has long been a cornerstone of CRI's growth strategy, and this merger establishes us in one of the state's most dynamic markets and enhances our ability to broaden our reach and deliver greater resources to clients across Texas and beyond."
In November 2024, CRI received an investment from Centerbridge Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, and split its attest and non-attest practices. Today's deal puts CRI in a total of 38 markets across 12 states.
