CCH has improved the exemption management features in thelatest version of its CorpSystem Sales Tax Office software.
Version 3.0 of CorpSystem Sales Tax Office includes abuilt-in Customer Exemption Management module, allowing users to managecustomer exemption certificate information directly in Sales Tax Office.Exemption information can be exchanged between Sales Tax Office, the company'senterprise resource planning software or any third-party exemption certificatemanagement system via Web services.
Sales Tax Office also now supports custom exemptions forprocurement. These include both conditional and partial exemptions and theability to allocate which percentage of a purchase is exempt and which istaxable based on conditional logic.
In addition to these enhancements, the look-up functionnow includes a combined rate; the locations function now supportslocation-based filing requirements; the sourcing algorithm has been enhanced;and the 3,000-line-item-per-invoice limit for Web service transactions has beeneliminated.
