CCH Introduces Practice Intelligence System

CCH has released ProSystem fx Practice Intelligence, a new system that provides accounting firms with on-screen dashboards showing key information about how well they are performing.

The system, developed with the help of accounting firm Armanino McKenna LLP, aims to bridge the gap between business intelligence systems and office productivity applications. The system is able to drill down to valuable firm data and enables firms to produce reports on business performance. ProSystem fx Practice Intelligence also integrates with CCH’s ProSystem fx Practice Management, providing time and expense entry, billing and invoicing, accounts receivable, project management, contact management and other key business management tools.

Key features include a KPI dashboard that speeds up analytics and automates reporting of key performance indicators. The system is able slice and dice data, displaying information according to billing partner, billing manager, department, client name and more. A one-click management report helps managers visualize relationships among multiple sets of firm data. Web-based training in the system takes only one hour.

The system is powered by QlikTech’s QlikView Business Discovery technology. The Practice Intelligence dashboards were specifically designed for accounting firms with input from professionals from the accounting firm of Armanino McKenna LLP. The firm took the knowledge it gained by providing software to clients in a wide variety of industries and applied it to its own business management processes, thus creating the Practice Intelligence accounting industry-specific solution in partnership with CCH.

“We’re very excited about this partnership between Armanino McKenna and CCH,” said partner and COO Matt Armanino. “We see it as a natural fit.”
