CCH Small Firm Services (SFS) has launched 3Fund for tax professionals who offer bank products to their clients, which will allow them to receive refunds in three ways—debit card, direct deposit or check—under a single product.
This latest move was designed to give tax professionals the ability to adjust their pricing in ways which optimize their competitive profile in the marketplace, according to SFS product line manager Shannon Bond.
“If tax preparers can only offer refunds one way, or at one price, they are going to find themselves increasingly left behind,” said Bond. “Consumers will take their business to tax preparers who can offer them options regarding their refunds. As we were developing 3Fund, we took a fresh look at the pricing surrounding refund products and made the decision to eliminate the fees typically associated with many refund products. That was a big step in reducing costs to the preparer and, ultimately, the consumer.”
