Mingyan "Michelle" Chen, CPA, CFA, has rejoined the New York Metro financial services tax practice of KPMG LLP as a tax partner with the Alternative Investment Funds team.
Chen returns to the Big Four firm from Mount Kellett Capital Management, where she was a tax director with responsibility for identifying and developing fund and investment structure. At KPMG, she will focus on clients in the hedge fund space and the broader financial services industry.
Prior to joint Mount Kellett, Chen has spent seven years at KPMG's New York Asset Management Group, and two years with the KPMG International member firm in Hong Kong.
She holds a BA in Economics from Renmin University of China, and an MS in Accountancy from Baruch College.
