Chicago CPA Firm Gets High Marks on Peer Review

At least one Chicago-area CPA firm has won braggingrights after it received the highest rating possible on an independent peerreview of its financial statement audit and review services.

Porte Brown's peer review, conducted in accordance withAmerican Institute of CPAs standards, resulted in an "Unmodified Report,Without a Letter of Comment," the best possible rating. The evaluationcertifies that Porte Brown's policies and procedures conform to AICPAprofessional standards for quality accounting and audit services.

The peer review included an analysis of selected PorteBrown client audit and review engagements, representing a cross-section of thefirm's accounting and auditing practice. An Illinois CPA Society member firmadministered the audit in accordance with AICPA guidelines.
