Clifton Gunderson Names National SALT Director

William Schenkelberg has joined Clifton Gunderson as national state and local tax director.

Schenkelberg, a CPA, brings more than 15 years of SALT experience, working in all areas of state and local tax but primarily focused on income and franchise tax and sales and use tax issues. He will be responsible for the development of the firm's overall SALT niche specialization.

"We are thrilled Bill has joined Clifton Gunderson. He has an impressive SALT background, which will be a great benefit to our firm," said Steve Schamberger, national partner-in-charge of tax operations. "We are eager to leverage Bill's knowledge and expertise in Wisconsin and across the firm."

Prior to joining Clifton Gunderson, Schenkelberg worked as SALT practice leader for Grant Thornton's Wisconsin practice. He received his Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Iowa.
