CliftonLarsonAllen Merges in Accounting Management Solutions

CliftonLarsonAllen has announced its fourth merger since last week, combining with Accounting Management Solutions.

AMS is based in Waltham, Mass., with an additional office in New York, N.Y. It specializes in providing outsourced accounting and financial management services in the Northeast.

The deal took effect on Nov. 1, 2015, but CLA announced the combination Monday. As part of the deal, AMS CEO Jim Bourdon and his team will help CLA provide a variety of outsourcing services around the country.

“When we add new capabilities or enter new markets, it's because we see that we can have a significant positive effect on the people, clients and communities that surround us,” said CLA CEO Denny Schleper in a statement.

As part of CLA, the AMS team will operate out of its existing locations in Waltham and New York City, providing accounting and finance project and consulting services, part-time and interim resources, and professional search.

"AMS joins CLA as a strategic decision to support the next phase of growth for AMS, while simultaneously advancing CLA's national outsourcing services,” said Bourdon. “AMS is enthusiastic about being able to offer our clients access to a national network of resources and will continue to provide our clients with the exceptional service they've come to expect.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CLA ranked 10th in Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $598.4 million in annual revenue.

Last week, CLA said it was merging with Stanislawski & Harrison CPAs in Pasadena, Titus in Milwaukee and Chicago, and Gottlieb, Flekier & Co., in Overland Park, Kansas (see CliftonLarsonAllen Merges in Stanislawski & Harrison CPAs and Titus and CliftonLarsonAllen Merges in Gottlieb, Flekier & Co.).
