Concur Unveils Advisor Program, Accountants Targeted

Travel and expense management service provider Concur has launched the Concur Advisor Program, which is designed to provide accountants in public practice and small-to-medium-sized business consultants with products, training and support to better counsel their clients on expense policies and processes.

Members of the program receive unlimited support from the Concur Breeze Relationship Team, a free subscription to the Concur Breeze product for up to two years, online training worth four hours of CPE credit, and the ability to offer the product at a 10 percent discount to clients.

The Concur Advisor Program is open to any accountant or small and midsized business consultant in the United States. Concur Breeze is an expense-reporting product designed for small businesses.

“Where [the program] is most valuable is in an area of pain where they can help improve and add a new revenue stream,” said Concur’s senior director of business development in the SMB group, Bob Lewis. “With more companies interested in going paperless, one place where the process is most painful is when expenses are captured, but not documented, and they end up in a box or a spreadsheet. As a result, things get lost, deductions are missed, and time is wasted during tax season. This is where advisors can help the most.”

Lewis also stressed that for accountants, the training component of their membership was particularly important and timely as it helps reinforce knowledge of IRS rules and best practices in travel and expense management.

“T&E has become a large area where fraud can take place and having visibility is very important,” said Lewis.
