Gary Barton has made partner at Cotton & Company LLP. Barton joined the firm in February 2010 and has more than nine years of diversified IT audit and consulting experience.
Barton’s experience includes managing and participating in audits and assessments of general IT environments supporting financial reporting; Federal Information Security Management Act audits; process improvement and reengineering projects; pre-implementation assessments; enterprise architecture audits; OMB A-123 projects; and audit remediation consulting.
Barton received his M.B.A. from The George Washington University, and his B.A. in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information System Auditor, and Certified Project Management Professional.
