Cottrill Arbutina Acquires Tax and Audit Group

CPA firm Cottrill Arbutina Professional Services has acquired an eight-person tax and audit group from S.R. Snodgrass, expanding its reach in Western Pennsylvania and its auto dealership client base.

The eight-person group, led by Joseph Bevevino (pictured) and Lawrence Zahn, has more than 40 car dealership clients, including some of the largest dealerships in the region. Other clients include high-net-worth business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs.

"This is a top-tier practice that adds significantly to our ability to serve large and small closely held businesses and their leaders," said Cottrill Arbutina president Dale Cottrill in a statement. "This is a great opportunity to expand our accounting and wealth management service mix."

Cottrill Arbutina now has 46 accountants and staff in offices in New Brighton, Pittsburgh and Peters Township. It also has six shareholders, including Tod Arbutina, John Ellsworth and Joel Martin, in addition to Cottrill, Bevevino and Zahn.
