CPA.com is seeking participants for its 2022 CAS Benchmark Survey to assess the current state of advisory services offered by accountants.
The new survey is the latest in a series, with the previous ones having been released in 2018 and 2020. The goal of the survey is to understand the impact of the past two years on client advisory services, with the hope of significantly increasing participation from previous polls.
The survey will remain open until Aug. 5, 2022, with the full results to be shared at the Digital CPA conference in Austin, Texas, in December.

The most recent CAS Benchmark Survey (see full story) found that CAS practices were growing dramatically, especially compared to more traditional areas like tax or audit. Between 2018 and 2020, the mean gross profit margin for CAS went from 34% to 47%; in contrast, more traditional CPA firm services grew from 28% to 34% over the same time.
