Crain's New York names 2019 'Notable Women in Accounting'

Crain’s New York Business announced on Monday its 2019 Notable Women in Accounting & Consulting list, which honors female professionals working in accounting and consulting firms in the New York City metropolitan area who have had a "profound impact through work in their careers and in their communities."

Seventy-seven women were recognized in all. In order to qualify, nominees must be working in an accounting or consulting function in the New York City metropolitan area for a minimum of five years. Honorees were selected by Crain’s editors based on professional achievements, community service, mentorship, and the promotion of diversity in the workplace.

"In New York, the fields of accounting and consulting offer unlimited opportunities for talented professionals to play important roles in the deals, transactions and business developments that shape finance, entertainment, technology, real estate and other major industries," stated Brendan O’Connor, managing editor of Crain's New York Business. "The 77 women on the Crain’s Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting list are at the heart of the action, advising their clients on critical financial matters — and often having an impact that extends far beyond the city’s borders"
