Daszkal Bolton Co-Founder Dies in Accident

Jeffrey Bolton, CPA, a partner and co-founder of Gulf Coast Regional Leader Daszkal Bolton LLP, died on April 19 in a swimming accident in the Bahamas.

A prominent CPA and business figure in South Florida, Bolton co-founded his firm in 1992 with Michael Daszkal, and was instrumental in the creation of several of its divisions. He was also involved in many charitable causes, serving as a director for the Bone Marrow Foundation, as Chairperson of the annual “Sports Legends” event, and as corporate chair of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night Walk” for many years. In addition, Bolton served in various positions as a board member with South Florida Manufacturers Association.

“Jeff was one of South Florida’s best accountants,” said Daszkal. “His passing is a tremendous loss not only to family, friends, clients and the community at large. Jeff was instrumental in the growth of our Jupiter office, which will remain strong, as will the entire firm. I and all the partners will work hard to support Jeff’s family and take care of Jeff’s clients, while preserving his vision and legacy at the three offices he helped build here at Daszkal Bolton.”

A native of New Jersey, Bolton held a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting from American University.

Bolton is survived by his wife Mirka and his two children, Jason and Lexi, as well as his brother Brian Bolton, and his parents Joel and Barbara Bolton.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made to the Jeffrey A. Bolton Children’s Education Fund, 2401 N.W. Boca Raton Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33431.

Funeral arrangements will be posted on the Daszkal Bolton Web site as soon as information is available.
