Deloitte has acquired Bonaccorso & Associates, a boutique accounting firm in Vaughan, Canada that serves small and midsize private companies with a focus on family businesses.
Founded in 2003, Bonaccorso & Associates will join Deloitte Private, Canada's largest professional services advisor to private companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“At Bonaccorso & Associates we understand the importance of building strong, personal relationships with our clients, it's not only about accounting,” said Fabio Bonaccorso, founder of Bonaccorso & Associates, in a statement. “By joining Deloitte Private we will have access to a global network of resources we can now offer clients, while still providing them with the small boutique experience they've come to expect.”
Deloitte's Corporate Development Office has been actively pursuing mergers and acquisitions in Canada.
“Acquisitions are an important part of our overall growth strategy and we welcome the expertise Fabio will bring to the firm,” said Deloitte corporate development officer Alexandre Baril.
