Dixon Hughes Combines with Presser Lahnen

CPA firm Dixon Hughes plans to integrate the practice of Presser, Lahnen & Edelman effective June 1, expanding the super-regional Southeast firm to the Jacksonville, Fla., area.

Presser, Lahnen & Edelman was formed in 1986 and is an outgrowth of a firm co-founded by Neil Presser, CPA, in 1966.  Its offices are located in Jacksonville’s Southpoint area, one of the region's growing business developments.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to reinforce our leadership position in serving the Jacksonville business community,” said PL&E managing shareholder Jamie Smith, CPA, in a statement.

The firm will continue to operate at its current office, but under the Dixon Hughes PLLC brand name as of June 1.

Dixon Hughes’ integration of PL&E will strengthen the firm’s newly established Florida presence. On Feb. 1 the firm integrated Orlando-based Rosenfield & Company.

The integration of PL&E will add more than 50 personnel to Dixon Hughes, including seven PL&E shareholders that will join the firm.

“Presser, Lahnen & Edelman is an exceptional, well-run practice and will make an excellent addition to Dixon Hughes,” said CEO Ken Hughes, CPA (pictured).
