Dixon Hughes, IASeminars Offer IFRS Training

Dixon Hughes PLLC has teamed up with IASeminars to provide CPAs and other financial professionals with training in International Financial Reporting Standards.

Dixon Hughes professionals and clients will have access to more than 100 public courses from IASeminars on IFRS, as well as customized on-site courses. The courses will cover topics such as first-time adoption of the new standards, preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, and major differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP.

The Securities and Exchange Commssion recently announced that it is developing a work plan for incorporating IFRS into the U.S. financial reporting system for public companies. The SEC will make a decision next year on whether to proceed with IFRS, based on a set of milestones, such as convergence with U.S. GAAP. U.S. companies might then be able to start using IFRS in 2015.
