Dixon Hughes Reels in Charis Healthcare

Accounting firm Dixon Hughes has merged healthcare strategy consulting firm Charis Healthcare into its healthcare consulting practice.

Seventeen professionals from Charis, including Craig Anderson, Kevin Locke and Jim Yanci, have joined Dixon Hughes as principals and bring over 80 years of combined health care consulting experience and relationships to Dixon Hughes. The Charis Healthcare practice now operates as a part of the Dixon Hughes Healthcare Strategy, Operations and Performance group within the firm’s healthcare consulting practice.

The Dixon Hughes Healthcare Consulting Practice is the 14th largest in the United States, according to Modern Healthcare, and has a team of over 150 dedicated consultants serving healthcare clients in all 50 states.

"The services, credentials, culture and values of Charis Healthcare are an excellent complement to our existing practice and will increase our growth opportunities," said Dixon Hughes CEO Ken Hughes in a statement. "The leaders of our respective teams are already working to capitalize on the strengths of the combined organization and design the future strategic direction of our health care consulting practice."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dixon Hughes ranked 19th on Accounting Today’s 2010 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $200 million in annual revenue.
