Doeren Mayhew Merges in Adler & Company

Doeren Mayhew has merged in Adler & Company, P.C., a CPA firm in Farmington Hills, Mich.

Doeren Mayhew said Wednesday the deal has taken effect. Adler & Company president Jay Adler and the rest of his staff have joined the Doeren Mayhew team at its Troy, Mich., headquarters. Adler will retain a leadership role as a director at the combined firm and will continue servicing his clients. The merger will add nearly 300 clients to Doeren Mayhew, particularly health care practitioners.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming the people, clients and friends of Adler & Company to our firm,” said Doeren Mayhew chairman and managing shareholder Mark Crawford in a statement. “Jay is a great addition to our firm, and the team he has assembled is top-notch. The result of this merger will help both Adler & Company’s staff and clients realize greater potential.”

Founded in 1982, Adler & Company has mainly focused on providing accounting and tax services to small businesses and high-net worth individuals in the Metro-Detroit area.

“We’re excited about joining forces with Doeren Mayhew,” said Adler. “The firm’s expansive resources will assist us in serving our clients well into the future. Both firms share a commitment to 'hands-on' service and the highest level of integrity, which creates a natural fit between the two organizations.”

Founded in 1932, Doeren Mayhew serves businesses nationwide from offices in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Texas. The firm ranked 58th on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $60.16 million in annual revenue.
