Epicor Unveils Global Human Capital Management Product

Epicor Software Corporation has released Epicor HCM version 5.8, its human capital management product now designed with expanded country-specific functionality for Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and enhancements to goal measurement and reporting.

The latest version was unveiled at the 16th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition being held at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.

Location-specific configuration of Epicor HCM delivers a balance of relevant communication and corporate standards at each office site. U.K., Australia and New Zealand country-specific functionality profiles include terminology updates and tax code capabilities for respective regions.

The primary Australia and New Zealand country-specific functionality profile offers health and safety checklists, including reporting; government checks including police clearance and working with children to increase safety at the workplace; and, qualifying periods as part of the Workplace Relations Act.

For UK offices, key country-specific functionality includes: tracking of notice periods -- defining the length of time that employers and employees must provide with a notice of termination; working time directive that allows member states to permit individual workers to opt-out of the 48-hour weekly limit on their working hours; and, tracking employees' work council participation, including their role.

The latest version of Epicor HCM is available as an integral part of the Epicor ERP suite, as well as an independent, end-to-end solution. Epicor HCM is supported on Microsoft SQL Server 2012.

“HCM is a key driver to finding and retaining employees, providing visibility across an increasingly global workforce, and meeting regulatory employee and workforce reporting requirements, all the while driving business value and increasing overall productivity,” said Lisa Rickard, senior product marketing manager, human capital management solutions for Epicor. “With our newest release of Epicor HCM, we continue to empower customers to expand globally -- crossing borders with deployment and business operations -- and to compete effectively in the marketplace with unprecedented measurement capabilities that align the workforce with organizational goals and objectives.”
