FinancialForce Adds Tax Automation and Project Management Features

Cloud accounting and financial software provider FinancialForce.com announced its Winter ’14 release. which features improved project management capabilities as well as an integration with sales tax and compliance automation service provider Avalara.

The Winter ’14 release of FinancialForce Accounting is designed to streamline and provide additional automation of a number of financial processes and activities including year-end, accounts receivable ageing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable processing and currency revaluation.

Other key product updates include an updated timecard interface; a time against task feature that allows customers to track time on project tasks; new Gantt chart functionality that provides customers with a visual representation of projects, tasks and resources; and mobile expense capabilities give customers the power to add and edit expenses in the mobile application, even if their phone has no connectivity.

In addition, the integration with Avalara will enable customers to better manage complex sales and use taxes on the Salesforce platform and will give them the option to use Avalara to track and submit tax forms and payments.
