Simon plans to attend Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire and major in accounting and criminal justice to be a CPA and forensic accountant, which she hopes will eventually lead her to a career with the FBI.

Citrin Cooperman, Philadelphia, raised $15,652 in support of the American Cancer Society's 2011 Relay For Life of Ocean City, N.J., in late June. Citrin Cooperman's team of 20 members gathered at Ocean City High School and took turns walking and running around the school's track in honor of the society's mission to eliminate and prevent cancer. Partner Jeffrey Gittler led the charge in the Philadelphia office, raising more than $12,000 and encouraging his co-workers to support the effort.

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Washington, D.C., announced the launch of its PCAOB Scholarship Program. The program will award 52 scholarships of $10,000 each, and will be administered and managed by ACT Inc., Iowa City, Iowa. As mandated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, funds for the scholarships come from monetary penalties imposed by the board. The board has released the names of the 52 recipient institutions; their names, as well as eligibility requirements and other details, are available on the PCAOB Web site,
