PwC US recently completed a move to a new, customized workspace at 1900 16th Street in the Lodo neighborhood of Denver that features "speed desks" throughout all floors and an enhanced wireless network that enables people to stay connected anywhere on the premises. The new building is pursuing Gold LEED certification.

Postlethwaite & Netterville received two Marketing Achievement Awards from the Association for Accounting Marketing, in the categories of Recruiting Campaign and Non-Print Ad.

 

MARYLAND

McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond, Hunt Valley, has begun conducting its Baltimore Metro Region 2011 CCRC Compensation Survey, a compensation study of local retirement communities. The full compensation report will only be available to the industry participants, but highlights will be released to the public the first week of August.

 

NEW YORK

Grassi and Co., Jericho, was named Accounting Firm of the Year at the New York Enterprise Report 2011 Small Business Awards Ceremony on June 16. In addition, managing partner Louis C. Grassi received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Accountants, and partner and not-for-profit practicel leader David Rottkamp received the Accountant of the Year Award in the Non Profit Category. ... MBAF ERE LLC and Fiscal Management Associates LLC recently hosted the annual nonprofit program at Baruch College's Vertical Campus in New York. Titled "We are Worth it! Framing the Case for Full Cost of Programming," the event marked the fifth year the organizations have partnered to host the conference exclusively for clients, associates and FMA Institute members.
