Crowe Horwath LLP, Oak Brook, released the findings from its 2011 Comprehensive Financial Institution Compensation Survey, which indicates that the average salary increase for officers and non-officers of 280 financial institutions was 2.4 percent. The survey is now in its 30th year. St. Bonaventure University alumnus Eugene McQuade and his wife Peggy have committed $2 million to establish the McQuade Center for Accounting Excellence endowment within St. Bonaventure's School of Business. The endowment will provide scholarship aid to promising incoming accounting majors; funding to recruit, retain and support the work of dedicated faculty; and support for student programming, advisement and professional development. Additionally, the endowment will make possible an awards celebration to honor the achievements of students, young alumni and senior executives.
