Former Sage Execs Join VersAccounts Board

Former Sage Group executives Gary Boddington, Motasim Najeeb and John Schoutsen have joined the advisory board of newcomer cloud accounting and ERP software maker VersAccounts.

Bodington had served as executive vice president and general manager of the Sage Business Intelligence business unit, which oversaw the incorporation of BI offerings into the company’s mid-market ERP products.

Najeeb was chief technology officer at Sage North America, where he was responsible for architecting and implementing Sage’s strategy around delivering new Sage One to market, extending existing on premises offerings through Connected Services, and for implementing Auto Update and Sage Business Advisor. Motasim is currently VP of engineering at Castlight Health.

Schoutsen oversaw corporate communications and press/analyst relations at Sage North America, as well as sales, marketing and PR roles at Accpac and Computer Associates.

“Each of our founding advisory board members has broad experience building a business software company from the ground up and successfully scaling it to become a global player.

We look forward to aggressively exploiting this critical inflection point by delivering more capable solutions, at lower price points, with higher levels of service and flexibility to our customers,” said VersAccounts chief executive Sunil Pande. “We will combine this with much closer and more equitable relationships with our partners to bring a whole new way of doing business into the market. Leveraging the deep expertise of our advisory board members will be key in helping us build VersAccounts into a leading global supplier of affordable mid-tier accounting and ERP solutions.”
