Graf Repetti Merges in Zeidman Lackowitz

Graf Repetti & Co. has combined with Zeidman, Lackowitz, Prisand & Co., building the firm’s presence on Long Island.

Zeidman partners Ted Lackowitz, Steven Battino, George Klueg and Steven Wegert will continue practicing in their existing offices in Plainview, N.Y., as partners in Graf Repetti. Accounting Transition Advisors assisted in the transaction. Financial details were not disclosed. The merger took effect Jan. 1.

“Adding the talent of the Zeidman partners and their terrific staff helps us to better serve our growing practice and particularly gives us a tremendous presence on Long Island and proximity to that very important segment of the New York metro business community,” said Graf Repetti CEO Peter Graf in a statement.

Graf Repetti president John Repetti noted that the Zeidman firm is well known and respected for client service and a track record of practice growth and development.

“While we are very proud of the more than 36 year history of our firm starting with its founding by the late David Zeidman in 1974, we also recognize that the next step for our team and clients is to merge with a firm of comparable quality that would enable us to expand services to our local, regional, and national clients,” said Zeidman Lacowitz managing partner Ted Lackowitz in a statement.

He added that the merger would allow his firm to broaden and deepen its industry specializations.

Graf Repetti merged early last year with another New York firm: Marx, Lange, Gutterman.
