Grant Thornton Appoints Leader to International Tax Practice

Randy Robason has been selected to lead Grant Thornton LLP’s International Tax practice. He currently manages the firm’s Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Service and will continue to oversee the practice.

Robason joined the firm in 2004 to lead the Carolinas Tax practice. He held a number of positions since joining the firm, including Southeast Region managing tax partner, Dallas office managing partner and chair of the firm’s benefit plan trustees.  Robason also holds a seat on Grant Thornton’s partnership board, a position he’s held since 2006.

“Randy’s vast client experience and heritage in our firm’s leadership align strongly with the need to continue to drive growth in this segment of our business,” said Grant Thornton’s national managing partner of Tax services, Doreen Griffith, in a statement.

Robason’s U.S. International tax leadership team includes Joe Calianno of the Washington National Tax Office and David Bowen, the U.S. Transfer Pricing Practice leader, as well as the following regional International tax leaders: Lincoln Terzian, Northeast; Doug Wood, Southeast; Pete Simpson, Midwest; Walt White, Central; and Randy Free, West.
