Global accounting and business advisory firm Grant Thornton named Tricia Conahan as chief marketing and sales officer to the Chicago-based organization.

A 25-year veteran  of marketing and branding, she was most recently senior vice president of brand and acquisition at financial services conglomerate JPMorgan Chase, where she spearheaded the rebranding of the Washington Mutual franchise to Chase’s retail banking network following Chase’s acquisition of WaMu.

Prior to this, she served as senior vice president and head of brand marketing at ING and also held senior marketing posts at, McGraw-Hill Inc., Time Warner and Times Mirror Magazines.

“Tricia is a highly talented and dynamic addition to the firm, bringing more than 25 years of marketing and branding experience to her role at Grant Thornton LLP,” said GT CEO Stephen Chipman. “As the firm embarks on a bold five-year strategy for growth, I am confident that Tricia’s leadership will help drive our business forward.”
