HBK Merges in Local Florida Firm

CPA and business advisory firm Hill Barth & King has merged in Fort Myers, Fla.-based Gilbert, Wallace, Stewart, Stramel & Sowers, P.A.

The merger became effective November 1. Terms were not disclosed. The GWSSS staff will be relocating to HBK’s Fort Myers office.

Ranked No. 74 on Accounting Today’s 2010 roster of the Top 100 Firms with revenues of $42 million, HBK and its financial planning and wealth management affiliate HBK Sorce Financial have a staff of 280.

“Both HBK and GWSSS have similar philosophies of a culture based on strong values and building trusting, long lasting relationships with our clients,” said HBK CEO and managing principal Chris Allegretti. “Our clients benefit from the collective experience of our industry groups which include construction, health care, condominium/homeowner associations and family-owned businesses.”
