HK Appoints Three New Partners

Honkamp, Krueger & Co. has hired Laura Walker, Kenneth Bowen and Ray Harrison as partners.

[IMGCAP(1)] Laura Walker joined HK as audit and quality control partner. Walker has 19 years of experience in public accounting experience, 16 with Deloitte and Touche LLP.

Walker has experience with technical GAAP, SEC, and financial reporting issues. She also has expertise in internal controls, risk assessment, and analysis of financial statements and other financial information.

Walker earned her B.A. in accounting and administrative management from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is a CPA.

[IMGCAP(2)] Kenneth Bowen joined HK as general services partner. Bowen has more than 39 years of diversified experience in the accounting, audit and strategic business consulting fields serving closely-held businesses, and has experience consulting on business management and succession planning issues.

Bowen has also taught continuing education programs for auditing of retirement plans to CPAs throughout the country for more than 10 years.

Bowen, who is a CPA, earned his B.S. in accounting from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Ill.

[IMGCAP(3)] Ray Harrison joined HK as general services partner. Harrison has more than 39 years of experience in his industry. For over 25 years, he worked as a tax practice director, specializing in individual and business income tax returns, as well as estate and trust taxation.

Harrison has performed business valuations for varieties of purposes including mergers, acquisitions, redemptions and divorce proceedings. He works with attorneys, providing expert testimony to local and district courts, in which he provided expert testimony in Washington D.C. for the Joint Tax Committee. Harrison has also had numerous speaking engagements with various organizations on current tax topics.

Harrison earned his degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Ill. In addition to being a CPA, Harrison holds the Accredited in Business Valuation credential.
