Horne Names Next Exec Partner

Joe D. Havens, CPA, will become the next executive partner of Top 100 Firm Horne LLP on May 3, as part of the retirement plan of current EP Hugh Parker, Ph.D., CPA.

Haven started his career with the firm in 1984, and became a partner at 30. Most recently, he led Horne's disaster recovery team, which pioneered accounting methodology and government compliance procedures for disaster recovery management. Prior to that, he spent 18 years working in the firm's Health Care Practice Group, including a stint as partner-in-charge.

"Joey is well prepared for this role. His experience combined with his passion and personal commitment to excellence in client service means our clients and our team members will continue to be our primary focus under his leadership," said Parker, who has been EP since 2003.

"The firm turns 50 years old this year, and I've seen half of those years in person. We will continue to honor our founding values as we passionately pursue our mission of making a difference for the clients we serve." Havens said.

Havens holds a BBA from the University of Mississippi.
