HSNO Adds Guidance’s EnCase to Forensic Practice

Forensic accounting firm Hagen, Streiff, Newton & Oshiro, has added Guidance Software’s EnCase Portable and Field Intelligence Model software to its practice.

The firm has been using Guidance’s EnCase Forensic software and is expanding its use of Guidance’s technology to service corporate legal departments, law firms and government agencies involved with investigations, legal disputes and data recovery. HSNO provides the services from its main lab in Newport Beach, Calif., in addition to facilities in Houston, Atlanta, New York City, and Seattle.

EnCase FIM can review computers over the network and determine if sufficient data exists to proceed with an investigation. EnCase Portable provides the forensic data collection software on a USB drive.

HSNO also uses other technologies to conduct remote investigations for electronic discovery, incident response, fraud and investigative services, corporate compliance, anti-corruption and anti-money laundering. The firm has a team of experts that have handled Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and worked closely with global corporations, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Justice Department.
