Wright has 12 employees who will be relocating their offices to Kemper's. Kemper has 27 offices in five states with 58 partners and over 250 staff members. Joining the firm as partner is Marvin Wright of Wright Consulting.

"We're very similar," said Timothy Bryan, partner-in-charge of Kemper's Evansville office. "Marvin has been working primarily with smaller businesses and also doing some financial services. We are providing him with more specialties, such as technology consulting and payroll."

Kemper has a payroll service company, Kemper First Choice Payroll, in its Evansville office. The firm also designs and administers pension plans. The other Kemper partners voted unanimously to bring aboard Wright, according to Bryan. Wright will be getting a partnership interest based on the total volume coming into the firm. Bryan was unsure whether Kemper would be entering into more mergers in the year ahead, but he noted that his firm does a merger about every two years.
