In preparation for the 2009 filing season, accounting and financial software provider Intuit has unveiled Document eSort, a tax automation and scanning application.

The new offering automates scanning and identifying tax documents and organizes them into a tax return-ready electronic file. The documents can then be viewed from Lacerte or ProSeries tax preparation software or one of Intuit's document management system applications.

To power eSort, Intuit has partnered with Copanion, using the company's tax document automation software.

Intuit Document eSort is available at or by calling (800) 765-7777.
