Intuit has released ProLine Practice Management, a Web-based application that tracks and manages customer engagements and information.

The product is able to synchronize and centralize data from Lacerte Tax 2010 and desktop versions of QuickBooks 2008-2011. The company unveiled the product Wednesday at the Intuit ProLine Productivity Expo in Plano, Texas.

“Tax and accounting professionals struggle with many frustrations when managing their practices,” said Jill Ward, senior vice president and general manager of the Intuit Accounting Professionals Division. “These frustrations stem from issues such as wasted time on duplicate data entry, mismanagement of client accounts due to errors in changed contact information, missed due dates on engagements, and hours of time spent analyzing different data reports just to get an accurate picture of the firm’s productivity. We believe ProLine Practice Management helps solve these sorts of headaches through integration with Lacerte and QuickBooks 2008-2011.”

Intuit is currently offering ProLine Practice Management for free to the first 1,000 firms that sign up at www.ProLinePracticeManagement.com until April 30, 2011.
