Intuit announced on Wednesday the release of new editions of QuickBooks 2012, including Accountant, Pro, and Premier; all with numerous key enhancements.
For the Accountant edition, Intuit added an Accountant Center, which is a new home page just for accountants, complete with shortcuts to all the features for accountants. There is also quick access to all reports and Intuit’s statement writer, recently renamed QuickBooks Statement Writer. The new Accountant edition also allows users to create a copy of their data files for a specific date range, and create batch timesheets and batch invoicing for time and expenses.
“The new Accountant edition focuses on three key themes: more value through quick and easy access to all tools; new insights; time saving for repetitive tasks,” said product manager for QuickBooks Accountant Jacint Tumacder.
In addition, Intuit added Salesforce for QuickBooks, an application that will allow users to synchronize customer data with QuickBooks to provide streamlined information to those in sales and management to eliminate data entry in two different systems.
Salesforce for QuickBooks is available on the Intuit App Center, where small businesses can easily find, buy and use connected Web-based applications that run on the Intuit Partner Platform.
