The IRS will be conducting maintenance on numerous electronic systems over Columbus Day weekend. Though e-Services will remain operational, delivery to the Secure Mailbox will be delayed until power is restored.

The mailbox outage period is expected to begin on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. Eastern and ends Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6 a.m. Eastern.

The IRS suggested that tax professionals who need to retrieve products from their mailboxes should retrieve them before the outage.
