The Internal Revenue Service has filed tax liens against funk pioneer George Clinton.
The IRS hit the Parliament-Funkadelic singer, also known as Dr. Funkenstein, with tax liens claiming $7,457.89 in unpaid taxes from 2009 and $13,301.57 from 2010, according to
Clinton and his famous Mothership have graced concert stages for generations. Clinton founded the influential bands Parliament and Funkadelic and went solo in 1981. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
