Kernutt Stokes Promotes Mlynczyk to Partner

Kernutt Stokes has promoted John Mlynczyk to partner.

Mlynczyk began his career as an accountant in 2006 when he joined the firm. He provides a variety of services, including tax planning and compliance for business and high net worth individuals. Mlynczyk has experience working with a variety of clients; however, he specializes in medical and dental practices, as well as manufacturing, timber and retail businesses.

In addition to client service work, Mlynczyk is responsible for performing and reviewing tax projects, tax research and training and developing new associates. He has also taught numerous continuing education classes, ranging from tax implications of current health care legislation to corporate tax preparation.

Mlynczyk attended the University of Oregon, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He is a member of the AICPA and the Medical Group Management Association. In addition, Mlynczyk is treasurer and executive committee member of Volunteers in Medicine. He is a past board member and past chair of the Emerald Empire Chapter of Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (OSCPA) and past treasurer of Forests Today and Forever.
