KPMG Adds Managing Director in Houston

Barbara de Marigny has joined the M&A tax practice of KPMG LLP as a managing director. She will be based in Houston.

She will focus on providing M&A-related assistance involving partnership alternatives, as well as serving private equity firms and clients seeking counsel on partnership formations, re-organizations, or conversions.

An attorney, de Marigny joins the Big Four firm from Houston-based law firm Garder Wynne Sewell LLP, where she was a partner with the tax practice with a focus on the energy industry. Prior to that, she was a partner at Oppenheimer Blend, and Baker and McKenzie.

She holds an LLM in Taxation from IIT Chicago-Kent School of Law, and a JD from the University of Virginia, as well as a BA in Economics from Duke University.
