KPMG, PwC named best firms for diversity

Online career source Vault.com has recognized Big Four firms KPMG and PwC as the best accounting firms for diversity.

Vault compiled its ranking using the feedback of 8,200 accounting professionals who were asked to "rate their firm's commitment to diversity with respect to women, minorities, and LGBT individuals." Vault then weighed the average in all three diversity categories equally. Vault previously ranked the best firms to work for earlier this year, using the same survey methodology.

KPMG topped the overall firm rankings for diversity, followed by PwC, Untracht Early, and BDO USA. KPMG also placed first for female and LGBT diversity, while PwC placed first in minority diversity. Notably absent from any of Vault's diversity rankings is fellow Big Four firm EY.

Vault's top 10 overall accounting firms for diversity are as follows:

  1. KPMG
  2. PwC
  3. Untracht Early
  4. BDO USA
  5. Friedman LLP
  6. Brown Smith Wallace
  7. Frank Rimerman and Co.
  8. Deloitte
  9. PKF O'Connor Davies
  10. Marks Paneth
