LogicalApps Buys Integra Product Line

LogicalApps, a provider of embedded governance software, announced that it has acquired the Integra product line from Applimation, a provider of management consulting and software for businesses using Oracle and PeopleSoft applications.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though it was an all-cash transaction.

LogicalApps will receive intellectual property and key employees from Integra, as well as more than 300 customers. LogicalApps said that the acquisition would solidify its place as the leader of automated controls solutions for the Oracle market and help the company accelerate the availability of embedded governance solution across an array of enterprise resource planning platforms

“Consolidation in the highly fragmented governance, risk and compliance market is inevitable, and IDC expects vendors to round out their offerings where it makes sense - especially in the area of controls automation." said Kathleen Wilhide, a research director with International Data Corp., in a statement.

Wilhide said that embedding governance is a strategic initiative that requires organizations to automate controls, beyond just documenting them. By putting in place the infrastructure to automate and manage the control environment, organizations can hopefully lesson their risk.

The Integra product line will continue to mature and be integrated into the LogicalApps Active Governance family of solutions, which includes user access management, configuration management and transaction monitoring.
