Rucci Bardaro & Falzone Acquires Jensen Malley & Company

Details:CPA and business advisory firm Rucci Bardaro & Falzone, PC has acquired Waltham, Mass.-based Jensen Malley & Company. Inc., a consulting firm formerly associated with Malley & Franey Financial Group.

The acquisition took effect on Feb. 1, 2016. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds eight professionals to RBF’s staff, for a total of 35 employees. RBF’s partner group will expand to six with the addition of Jack Malley, a founder and managing partner of Malley & Franey.

Last month, RBF relocated from Malden, Mass., to new space in Woburn, Mass., to accommodate the acquisition.

“We’ve found the right strategic fit in Jack Malley and his firm,” said RBF president William F. Rucci in a statement. “The addition of personnel and expertise will not only enhance our capabilities in markets we already serve, it will also help us pave the way into new markets we’d like to pursue.”

In addition to traditional audit, accounting and tax services, the larger firm will continue to provide strategic, industry-focused planning and business advice to entrepreneurs and privately held companies. The expansion also adds technology as a practice category to RBF’s existing specialties in real estate, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, life sciences and professional services, among others.

“We’re excited about joining forces with RBF,” said Malley. “The added depth of resources will create synergies that I have been seeking for our clients and our staff. The combination of our two firms will also allow us to pursue new service opportunities that will benefit our joint client base.”

Rucci expects his firm to continue growing beyond the latest acquisition. “Whether it means finding more like-minded firms to join us, or locating superior talent to hire on an individual basis, we will continue to seek out expansion opportunities across all of our practice areas,” he said.
