Rehmann acquires Veritas Global

Details: Accounting and consulting firm Rehmann has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire Veritas Global LLC, a firm that provides corporate investigative services and business intelligence. Veritas will be merged into Rehmann subsidiary Kerby, Bailey and Associates. The combined entity will be renamed Rehmann Corporate Investigative Services.

Weaver merges in bank consulting firm

Details: CPA and business advisory firm Weaver has merged with Houston-based Bank Advisory Resources, a consultant to the community banking sector. Terms of the merger, which became effective June 7, were not disclosed.

HOUSTON

MaloneBailey merges in John Thomas

Details: MaloneBailey has merged in local firm John M. Thomas PC, as part of its efforts to strengthen its private company practice and construction industry niche in Houston. The merger took effect on May 15. Thomas' practice will supplement MaloneBailey's new Private Company Practice Team.

WISCONSIN

Clifton Gunderson expands

Details: Milwaukee-based accounting firm Clifton Gunderson is acquiring and merging in several other firms. On the international front, the firm has acquired U.S. Tax Advantage, an international tax consulting services firm with offices across the country, effective May 1.

In the Philadelphia area, Clifton Gunderson has combined with Stockton Bates, a CPA firm with offices in Philadelphia and Lancaster, Pa., and Haddonfield, N.J., effective June 1. In Indiana, Clifton Gunderson is acquiring the Merrillville office of BKD LLP, effective June 1. And in St. Louis, the firm merged in Humes & Barrington, effective June 1.

Financial details of the transactions were not disclosed. The mergers are expected to add over 50 new professionals, and close to $30 million in revenue.
