M&J Merges in Two Firms

Mauldin & Jenkins, a CPA and business advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta has merged in two Southern-based accounting firms: CPA Associates in Bradenton, Fla. and Evers & Fox in Atlanta.

Financial terms of the mergers were not disclosed. Following the completion of the deals, Mauldin & Jenkins, which ranked No. 95 on Accounting Today's 2010 Top 100 Firms list, will have revenues of $41 million, 43 partners and 240 staff.

Jerry Marlar, managing partner of CPA Associates, will remain with the firm as a partner-in-charge of Mauldin & Jenkins’ Bradenton operations.

Mauldin & Jenkins, which has offices in Atlanta, Macon, Albany, Ga.; and Birmingham, Ala., will relocate three of its partners to CPA Associates’ Bradenton office.

Evers & Fox brings two partners and seven staff members to M&J.
