MacPhee Promoted to COO at RGL

Angie MacPhee, CPA, who had been serving as chief financial officer at Denver-based international forensic accounting firm RGL Forensics, has been promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

As COO, MacPhee will be responsible for overseeing the U.S. divisions of financial, accounting, marketing and IT, as well as overseeing the business operations of the firm's 16 U.S. offices. She will also continue to serve as a member of the firm's board of directors.

"I welcome the challenge to increase the awareness of our forensic accounting and valuation services, as well as continue to enhance our competitive positioning," said MacPhee. "Forensic accounting is a service growing in importance as businesses become more complex. Damages in litigation or insurance claims can have far-reaching implications."

She joined the firm in 2010 as CFO. "Angie has helped align the goals of the individual offices with the strategies of the firm as a whole," said RGL partner Paul Cadorette. "Part of what makes her so successful is what makes the firm so successful -- she is good at analyzing complex financial data, finding a bigger picture, and developing a more strategic direction from the data. She has been a great partner in influencing change through proactive communication, employee development and financial guidance."

MacPhee holds an MBA from the University of Colorado.
