Merged Massachusetts Firms Change Name

Recently merged accounting firms Thevenin, Lynch, Bienvenue LLP and George Malloy, CPA, have changed their combined name to Malloy, Lynch, Bienvenue LLP.

The CPA firm includes three partners: Malloy, along with Richard D. Bienvenue and Robert J. Lynch. The combined firm unites Malloy’s practice in Wellfleet, Mass., with Bienvenue and Lynch’s firm, based in Brockton. The three are joined by principal Timothy S. Bell of Webster, Mass.

The firm traces its origins back to 1976 when Arthur Thevenin, who retired in 2004, founded the CPA practice that would eventually grow to become Thevenin, Lynch, Bienvenue. Lynch joined the firm in 1988, and Bienvenue in 2002. Soon after Malloy merged his practice with theirs last year, they made plans to officially change the name of the firm. The firm now has a staff of 25.

Lynch, who will serve as managing partner, said the combination would improve the firm’s economies of scale, client service, and overall capabilities.

In addition to the new name and merged entity, MLB has relocated its headquarters to Norwell, Mass., and expanded and consolidated its Cape Cod office in Brewster.
