Maple Grove, Minn.-based accounting firm David B. Campbell, Ltd., has signed a letter of intent to join Kern, DeWenter, Viere, Ltd., expanding KDV’s presence in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota.

DBC specializes in accounting and consulting services in the automotive, construction, professional services and real estate industries. The merger was expected to be completed Monday, Oct. 31.

“We are excited about the DBC group joining our team because of their culture and commitment to quality,” KDV managing partner Loren Viere said in a statement. “They are an excellent complement to KDV in terms of their values and dedication to client service.”

“KDV is a well-respected firm and I am confident our clients and staff will benefit from the additional resources that will be available to them,” said Campbell.  “We are eager to practice as part of KDV and to continue to make a difference for our staff and clients.”

KDV, founded in 1945, has two existing offices in Bloomington and St. Cloud, Minn. The firm provides accounting, tax, advisory, wealth management, payroll, technology, business valuation and consulting services. Six new employees joined the firm as a result of the merger. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but according to a KDV spokesperson, the firm was the 13th largest in the Twin Cities area prior to the merger.
