MJLM Partner Lanier Re-elected President Pro Tem of Alabama A&M University Board of Trustees

McConnell Jones Lanier & Murphy LLP federal services partner Odysseus Lanier has been re-elected president pro tempore and chairman of Alabama A&M University’s Board of Trustees.

MJLM is one of the nation’s largest minority-owned accounting and business advisory firms. The AAMU trustees voted to re-elect Lanier at their annual meeting during the Annual Magic City Classic football game against Alabama State University. Lanier said he intends to continue to lead the board to achieve strategic goals established by the president of the university and the trustees.

Lanier has served on various roles and committees at the university since 2005, including serving as vice chairman of the Presidential Search Committee in 2008. In June 2009, Alabama Governor Bob Riley appointed Lanier to the Alabama University Board of Trustees, to serve in one of two at-large board positions.

In addition, Lanier’s parents, sisters, and eldest child, are graduates of AAMU.
