NASBA names 2021-2022 board

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy announced its 2021-2022 board members, who were officially installed at the association’s annual meeting in early November.

W. Michael Fritz was installed as chair. A retired senior partner of Big Four firm Deloitte & Touche in Ohio, Fritz has been a NASBA board member since 2013, and has served on a number of committees. He has also served as a member of the executive board of the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center, and as an executive board member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Serving as vice chair will be Richard Reisig, a shareholder and technical director for attest services at Montana-based Anderson ZuerMuehlen & Co. He previously served as a NASBA director-at-large, and on several committees and task forces, and currently serves on the AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board.

Other new board members include:

  • Marie Caldwell, director-at-large and chair of the Peer Review Compliance Committee;
  • Faye Miller, director-at-large and chair of NASBA’s Communications Committee;
  • Katrina Salazar, director-at large and chair of the CPE Committee and the CPE Standards Working Group;
  • Nancy Corrigan, Pacific regional director and chair of the CBT Administration Committee;
  • Larry Elmore, Southeast regional director and member of the Relations with Member Boards Committee and Uniform Accountancy Act Committee;
  • Michael Schmitz, Central regional director, chair of the Audit Committee, and member of the Relations with Member Boards Committee; and,
  • John Dailey, director-at-large and chair of the Legislative Support Committee.

Current members who will be continuing on the board include:

  • Past chair A. Carlos Barrera;
  • NASBA president and CEO Ken Bishop;
